Zone 3 displays HRH Prince Mahidol Aduldej’s life and dedication to his studies at the Mürwik Imperial German Naval Academy at Flensburg, Germany where his studies included both theoretical and practical courses. During the practical course he was taken ill but with his attentiveness he completed his studies and became a naval cadet until World War I began he resigned from the German navy to return to Bangkok where he served in the Ministry of Royal Thai Navy Affairs. While working there, he showed broad vision concerning naval affairs as evidenced namely in a report on views about the “S” Case, a project to establish a fleet of warships, and a simulation of a miniature naval battle, which later proved extremely beneficial for the Royal Thai Navy.
